Taylor B. Downs is a native of Martinsburg, who learned about hard work and results from a young age by helping his grandfather on the family farm and orchard. After graduating from Martinsburg High School, Taylor earned a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Political Science from Shepherd University. Taylor went on to earn a law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2011.
Since graduating from law school, Taylor has focused on representing injured individuals throughout the State of West Virginia. In addition to being a partner at Manchin Ferretti, Taylor is also a partner in the Fairmont, WV, based office of Manchin Injury Law Group.
Taylor has successfully tried cases to jury verdict and handled all types of personal injury cases, recovering millions of dollars for his clients.
Taylor has been consistently rated as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine and a “Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer” by the National Trial Lawyers. In addition, Taylor is a Member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice and the West Virginia Association for Justice, also serving on its executive committee.
Taylor is a member of the South Fairmont Rotary, serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Marion County Rescue Squad, is a member of the Board of Directors for Augusta Development Corporation, is a former member of the West Virginia State Elections Commission, past fundraising chair for the United Way of Marion County, and is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairmont.
Taylor enjoys spending his free time with his wife and son, traveling, cooking, and going to WVU football and basketball games.
